Zack Weiss
Zack is an associate attorney at Burstyn Law whose practice focuses on complex commercial and trial litigation. A South Florida native, Zack brings a competitive mindset and a focus on results to every high-stakes dispute he handles across state and federal courts.
Zack has represented clients in high-stakes commercial and trial litigation across state and federal courts, with experience spanning class actions, business disputes, securities-related matters, and complex injunctive proceedings. He served as second-chair trial counsel in a three-week Florida state court jury trial defending a corporate healthcare provider in a medical malpractice action that resulted in a complete defense verdict. His practice has included work on matters involving alleged fraud and securities violations, including assisting in litigation that resulted in a judgment exceeding $90 million. Zack has also handled disputes involving non-compete enforcement, false advertising, data breach claims, and business ownership conflicts. He regularly manages depositions, dispositive motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and trial preparation, and has argued motions and evidentiary issues in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Burstyn Law, Zack was an associate at Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough, an AM100 law firm, where he practiced complex commercial litigation and trial work. He began at the firm as a summer associate, continued as a law clerk during his final year of law school, and joined full-time upon graduation.
Zack is motivated by the opportunity to take on complex, high-stakes disputes where the outcome materially impacts his clients’ businesses and lives. He is particularly drawn to cases that require building a narrative from the ground up, mastering the facts, and advocating in high-pressure environments. For Zack, the practice of law is about preparation, execution, and delivering results when it matters most.
Zack serves on the Board of Directors for the Broward County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, where he helps organize programming and events aimed at developing young lawyers and fostering connections within the South Florida legal community. He is also an active member of the Miami-Dade Bar Young Lawyers Division and the Jewish Bar Association.
